Electric vehicles need less maintenance than gas cars — but when they need it, they need someone who understands them. Here's what we handle on-site.
Charging & charge-port problems
Car won't charge, charges slowly, throws a charging error or the port door / latch is stuck. We diagnose the vehicle side and the charger side.
12-volt battery replacement
The most common reason an EV suddenly "dies." We test and replace 12V lead-acid and lithium batteries on the spot, including the ones buried under trim.
Brakes & rotors
Regenerative braking means EV brakes rust before they wear out. Pads, rotors, calipers, brake fluid and the annual brake service Tesla and others recommend in humid climates.
Tires, rotation & TPMS
EVs are heavy and quick — they eat tires. Rotation, replacement with EV-rated tires, pressure-sensor programming and puncture repair at your location.
Diagnostics & warning lights
Manufacturer-level scan tools for the vehicle's high-voltage, thermal and body systems. We tell you exactly what the fault is before anyone touches anything.
Range & battery health checks
Losing range faster than you should? We read pack-level data, check cell balance and cooling, and give you a plain-English report on your battery's condition.

An EV shop without the shop
Das Auto Experts has been keeping South Florida drivers on the road for more than five years. We went all-electric because that's where the cars are going — and because most EV owners have been stuck choosing between a dealership service center with a two-week wait and a general mechanic who's never opened a frunk.
Going mobile was the obvious next step. Nearly everything an EV needs can be done in a driveway, and you shouldn't have to burn a morning in a waiting room for a 12-volt battery.

Questions we get every day
Do you really work on Teslas outside of Tesla Service?
Yes. Tesla vehicles are the biggest share of what we see. Brakes, 12V batteries, tires, charge-port issues, cabin filters, diagnostics and pre-purchase inspections are all routine for us.
Will using an independent shop void my warranty?
No. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer can't void your warranty just because someone other than the dealer serviced the car. We use appropriate parts and document the work so you have records if you ever need them.
What can't you do in my driveway?
Anything that requires dropping the high-voltage battery pack or a drive unit, and major body or collision work. If your issue turns out to be one of those, we'll diagnose it, explain it, and help you get it to the right place.
My car is completely dead and won't open. Can you help?
Usually, yes — a dead 12-volt battery is the most common cause, and it's a same-visit fix. Call us; we'll walk you through getting the car open safely and come out to replace the battery.
Do you charge a travel fee?
Not within our core service area in Palm Beach County and North Broward. Beyond that, we'll quote a small trip fee up front before we book the appointment.
Do you service plug-in hybrids?
Yes. PHEVs share most of their high-voltage and charging systems with full EVs, and we're happy to service them.
How do I pay?
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Zelle or cash at the time of service. You'll get an itemized digital invoice.
